My name is Kate. I love life.
Can’t-stop-smiling-when-it’s-sunny-out kind of loving life. Squeeze-my-husband-way-too-hard kind of loving life.
I’ve been in NYC since graduating college, and it is a great though insane place. Being from western NJ originally, I look forward to visiting Mom and Dad in the ‘quiet’ of the garden part of the ‘Garden State’.
“You can do everything you want to in life, just not all at once” is a strong mantra for me. Television, film, live events, musical theatre….these are all passions. There is not just one, and that is okay. It is more than okay in my opinion, I am excited how each chapter of my life plays out. Where I am being pulled at a given time. Most recently, I am interviewing people, working on-camera, and taking class at UCB. I also go out on the road with the USO Show Troupe, which is a fantastic opportunity to support the troops and their families, spreading joy. I LOVE hosting. Anything on camera gives me an ease and calm, yet nonstop brain workout. I thrive!
As an actor, I either get cast as the energetic, fitness-loving gal or the cold-hearted, subtly expressive villain. Love playing the bad guy-- ironic for my happy persona.
I am also a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. My specialties are working in corporate and with brides-to-be. Corporate is such a fun complement to the entertainment world. Fierce type-A's get to de-stress and let it out in bootcamps, Spin, barre, and Pilates, and they make for a most intense and multi-dimensional group. It has been a blessing of a secondary career throughout my years in NYC, and it has brought me so many awesome experiences, from training celebrities, to teaching workshops in NJ, IN, PA, and NY, from five-star hotels, to parks. Getting to give some sass to a six a.m. group of businessmen complaining about squat jumps makes those hours doable :)
Obsessions: Coffee, red wine, curly dogs, my husband, the New York Yankees (to the aforementioned’s chagrin), Brad Stevens, Butler Basketball, Jersey Boys. walking everywhere, the flowers in June in my parents’ yard...
